The cat was very insistent on getting into her lap. Kano refused it by picking it up and placing it so that it faced Bill. Grinning back she chanced another look towards the trail that was bothering her. It was nice to have company that wasn't just a fur-ball, or some other person who wouldn't so much as glance at her in a town she only knew the layout of. The cat looked back at the clockmaker who simply encouraged it forwards. The cautious brown paw hovered near his leg for a bit before the feline sat down and looked at the girl again. She shrugged, after all the only cat she had seen him interact with was Tuono.

Bill glanced down as the cat moved between him and the shifter, taking a seat. He normally got very mixed reactions from cats in the past, so with some hesitation he reached out to the feline. It smelt his hand for a moment, before ignoring it. So Bill reached down and scratched it behind the ear, a pleasant purr emanating from the brown cat. The mage noticed Kano's gaze again. "Something over there bothering you?"

"The lack of something actually." Looking up at the almost blindingly bright blue sky for a moment Kano paused, "I thought that perhaps there was a mine or factory town that way given the landscape and the way this town is built... The sky is to clear for that and the trail isn't well made further down though." Looking at the purring cat she grinned a bit, "The fuzzball isn't helpful either."

Bill nodded as she spoke, looking at the sky in the distance. He thought back to a bit ago when he had just patrolled the area, remembering the trail she spoke of. "Hmm." He murmured. "Well, if you're up for it, we could go take a look." Bill suggested, turning back to Kano.

Kano blinked a bit, "It would take all day normally, and I don't plan on running. So it really depends.." 'On whether or not we intend on coming back here.' The cat had a very loud purr as she had discovered earlier and the volume had suddenly increased making the clockmaker burst into a fit of giggles upon likening it to the sound of a small dysfunctional engine.

Bill smiled as he watched Kano laugh at the cat. He was glad to see her in a good mood. "I could make it in time..." He muttered, half to himself and half to the shifter. He wasn't why he would say that, because although it was true, there was nothing to suggest that the crippled guy could make that trip so quickly. "But you're right, it does depend on what we are going to do from here."
