Doing as told Kano watched Bill approach, trying to figure out what had made him respond this way. '....Did I do something wrong?' Her golden eyes tracked him, but not with the intensity or carefulness they usually had. It was quite confusing for the shifter, who was still loosely gripping her watch.

"Does anything hurt? Is anything confusing or hazy for you? Any trouble breathing?" Bill asked her as his hands glowed light blue, sliding them above her body slowly from head to toe and back again. The color shifted to green, he repeated the motions, and then shifted to purple, repeating once more. He was looking for illness, poison, or curses that could be effecting her. The spell wasn't airtight, but it would give him a general idea.

The pause as Kano tried to decipher what had been said felt longer to her than it should have, "Second one..." There was no trouble breathing, her huffing throughout the day was simply irritation and habit. Now pain was something she had a high threshold for getting caught on gears, falling from buildings, and being an orphan didn't necessarily gaurentee that but certainly reenforced it. So if there was a problem there the clockmaker had no clue and had answered to the extent she could.

"Okay, take deep breaths, and concentrate on your watch." Bill said, racing across the room to his leather satchel sitting next to the desk, pulling out a small container with a blue lotion in it, which he rubbed gently on her forehead. He put a damp cloth on her head and paused for a moment, considering what to do next, watching her condition for a minute. "Come on Billy, what's wrong with her? Will, concentrate." The second voice he didn't hear much, so he knew to pay attention. What was he missing?

Pausing again to figure out what he wanted, Kano did her best to comply. She wasn't quite sure what he meant by concentrate on her watch but did guess at it. 'The sound it makes? ........ The feel of the tear? ............ Its history? ........ The five ways it broke?' The clockmaker didn't even bother to try and follow Bill with her eyes anymore, to busy trying to focus.

Bill didn't say anything else to her, she needed to clear her mind, get it back to normal. The alchemist knelt down behind her head, placing a hand on either side of her head, and started meditating, magic slowly trickling down from his head down through his body into her. He would let her borrow some of his mind to focus. "Just don't screw this up, or you'll drive her mad like you..."

'Well..... In order... The sound is not in fact from the moving of the hand as most think it's actually from... the unwinding of the watch as it continues around in a circle. ....It tore rather sharply in a way leather doesn't usually... I needed a new band for it anyways...' The pauses were getting shorter and the sharp way she paid attention to the world around her becoming closer to viable. Though Kano was usually fast paced and could tell you anything you could possibly want to know about the watch in about a minute. 'The Old Man gave me it... he said I would need something to set other clocks by.. I've had it from a week after I became his apprentice till now... It's broken five times. The first time due to over-winding, the second.. when I was thrown against a wall and my wrist hit a corner, the third a few days.. after I found Tuono, he was very small and didn't know what he was messing with. The fourth was when the salty air actually messed with one of my items other than my tools, the fifth was just recently and it wasn't the watch itself. That just about covers everything doesn't it?' Looking up to Bill curiously she found it to still be a bit warm but that wasn't much of a problem now that she could think clearly.

"Now, focus on me." Bill thought to her, the thought flowing down with the magic. He couldn't tell what exactly she was thinking, but he could tell when her mind shifted gears. He needed her to repair her mind on her own, but he could guide her. "Focus, Kano, focus!"

'You? ..Well I can't tell if you would get along better with the Old Man or Seto, oh and then there was your comment on yourself. It was pretty funny, I did say something but I knew you couldn't hear me. You move impressively for someone with one leg and there is also the fact that you don't seem to pay much attention to my eyes so much for their ability and more for their appearance. I find you interesting and entertaining, you are also very unexpected in lots of ways. Somehow I was tracked all the way hear from a Seaport town, and my illusion has shattered because of you four times so far, neither of us seemed to expect company though. You are you. I think I'm done. Well I could go further into detail buuuut..' Kano blinked again noting that while she hadn't said everything about him she had made some interesting points.

Slowly, the magic began to fade away, and Bill let go of her head, smiling upside down at her. "Feeling better, Kano?" He asked, wondering what she could have thought about him. He could have probably found out if he wanted while they were meditating, but he didn't want to intrude like that.

"Yeah, just a bit tired." 'That was strange.' Given that Kano would hit Bill if she sat up right now she simply stared back at him. This time she did manage to do it the way she wanted to with a bit of a grin. 'If I get bored tomorrow I will sneak out and you wont see it coming.'

"Well, try and get some rest; I'll be keeping watch if you need me." Bill told her standing and returning to the desk chair, watching the door, his ears twitching a little as he kept them alert. "I don't expect her thanks, maybe a little gratitude, but she wouldn't express it. Still, I wonder if she realizes just what was all happening..." The mage thought to himself, looking down at his hands thinking of all the things they had done, shuddering a moment later and returning to his vigilant watch.

Nodding in reply Kano rolled to her side and fell asleep much faster than usual. When five came she didn't quite bolt up, but did sit there a moment. Looking around she saw Bill at the desk and stared intensely at his back for a few moments, hoping he would glance back at the feeling of being watched as many did. 'Am I supposed to stay here or would it be better for me to go to the rooftop? I'm not quite bored yet so maybe it's a bit early to do something like that without knowing what the rules are. Turn around and teeeeelll mee.'

About a second after the boom landed Bill had opened it up and started reading it. After a moment of this he turned to.face her with a grin. "Well goodmorning, Kano, did you need something?" He asked her, completely turning around in his chair. He didn't know if this was a game, or if she was trying to get his attention, but he would.entertain both for the time being.

"Yes. Can I go back to doing whatever I want or do I need to stay here?" Giggling a bit more at the fact that he had opened a book full of blueprints rather than one that explained the mechanics when he likely couldn't understand what the statistics and part names meant. Kano grinned back at him, though her question was one that she needed the answer to so she knew if she was sneaking out or leaving for a bit normally. One required much more timing and planing and was more fun.
