There was a delay as Kano stood up again. "None taken, I'm fine. Not as good as usual but I'm okay. I did have one thing planed for the day and I'm going to do it." Doing her best to move at her normal speed the clockmaker paused in the door, "The key is on one of the maps, do what you want." Shutting it behind her she found a few ground squirrels looking at her curiously. 'That means there is some sort of snake here then. Most likely gopher snakes.'
The quarry wasn't to far and she could see the edge of it from here. Not in the mood to test her balance it was decided that she would go around. "Looks like there's a trail.. It's probably a bit waterwashed though."

Bill watched her leave, a waited for about five minutes before grabbing the key and heading out the door, following after Kano, watching her from a considerable distance. He didn't expect her to take off, nor did her really care where she was going. He was, however, concerned that she wasn't strong enough to go out safely. It was obvious that she forcing herself more than she probably should. "What's your deal, Kano? It feels like you're mad to see me here, but nothing actually says that you are... Of course, why are you here Bill? Company or no, you two always knew it was a possibility that you two would part ways quickly."

Kano entered the quarry after climbing up a rock, it really was harder than it should have been and the waterwash of the trail had almost made her fall three times on her way there. It was large, plenty of boulders lying about a nice tree hanging from what looked like a very climbable rock face. Golden eyes narrowed as she examined the place. 'Maybe I was to short with Bill, it's nice to see him again but nothing is really registering quite right at the moment..'
A few ground squirrels skittered away as the clockmaker made her way up one of many large grey boulders with effort. Looking about she noted three good hiding places, it was all she had come here to know really. It was like being in the middle of a circle she was almost entirely surrounded by the quarry wall. Landing harshly Kano didn't really have a say in the matter of whether or not she was staying there. She was, but she didn't know it.

Bill followed her, watching her closely. He was far to tempted to go and help her each time she almost fell, but he knew she was alright for now. The quarry didn't seem like a very safe place, tactically or environmentally. The ease of a rockslide here was much too great, and once you went to the bottom, you would be stuck. Though that was a bit of a double edged sword. Still, he continued after her, keeping a close eye on her, always close enough to help her if she needed it, but distant enough that he should go unnoticed.

This pause was far longer than the others and Kano pried herself off the ground with a huff. Making her way past several other large rocks the clockmaker decided to further examine the closest hiding spot she had seen. Big enough to fit her certainly, but something was off about it. 'Something's off with everything today.' Gently picking up a small rock she sat down against the wall and played with it in her hand.
A boulder made viewing anything that wasn't it quite hard. Huffing she tried to climb it. Unsucessfully as she fell right back off with a very solid crash. About a minute passed where nothing happened. "What is it with today?" Kano didn't really bother doing anything other than comment in frustration, she didn't even move from behind the huge rock.

Bill watched Kano, cringing. "She won't take help, so unless she passes out, I can't give her anything to help her, it isn't even worth trying. Still, it's hard to see her struggling like this..." He thought as he watched her go behind the large rock. After she didn't come out right away he got a bit concerned, but decided he'd wait about ten minutes before he'd go and check on her.

'At least it's warm.' A squirrel approached, then ran away as Kano threw a pebble in its general direction. 'I already said it's to early for thiiiiis..' Everything was delayed, and the clockmaker didn't really know what to do with herself. Rolling over and moving enough to get into the hiding spot she had found the girl figured out what had been bothering her about it. Dead moss, that was all, and it was very soft. A small plant covered the entrance and the boulder hid her further. A good spot, had she noticed it was warm already? It was.
"Something is very wrong with today."

Watching and waiting, Bill observed the area around him, making mental notes of anything that stuck out. He hoped she wasn't sitting back there bleeding out or just sitting there in some kind of extreme pain. It was entirely possible that there was some kind of exit down there hidden by the rock, but he doubted it. So he sat and watched and waited.

Another squirrel aproached. Kano was pretty much done with the world my now though so it wasn't shooed away by a rock. It left fast enough and out from behind the boulder too. The clockmaker's now dust covered coat along with the amount of cover she had from the plant and ceiling above her left her with a vauge sense of security as she gave up on dealing with the day that she couldn't really handle anyways. It wasn't actually that warm.

Only a couple more minutes. Bill started to head down, and wait out the last few minutes near the boulder. "This is a bit ridiculous, isn't it? Why am I even waiting this long in the first place? Just stay and wait..." The mage thought, making a tiny flame appear above his thumb. He started playing with it, having it bounce from one finger to the next, going back and forth each time it reached the end of his hand.

((Are you trying to out-stall me or something? Kano is asleep.))
There was sound and Kano having not really slept last night was completely oblivious. Wind shifted the plant up and down a bit and the small cave ceiling was just inches from her face. The weather usually had little to no effect on her, today being no exception usually today would be counted as perfect weather and the subject dropped in her head. Today was very much not hers.

((This is because I thought she was still falling asleep ^.^'))
Finally Bill went and peered around the large rock to check on her, only to find her fast asleep. He paused for a moment, looking her over, before stepping back and thinking. Then he decided. "I'm going to regret this if it wakes her up... Bill thought as he went behind the rock and moved to pick her up, planning to carry her back to the house.

((At one point she had been but I thought by stating that it wasn't actually that warm I made a few things clear to you.))
The plant and breif brush with the ceiling did little to bother her, as far as she was concerned nothing had happened. Last night Bill wouldn't have been able to peer around the rock without having a book or knife hit his face, whichever happened to be closer. Most likely the book. The waterwashed trail with or without her lack of balance would have been frustrating given the incline and the last thing she had wanted when awake would have been another fall or perhaps the rage her companion had directed at her previously.

Kano didn't seem to be bothered by him picking her up, so Bill began the trek back to house, the trail being quite difficult with one foot and no hand free. Still, he could manage it, and would start towards the house, being as care as he could not to wake her. "I was probably a bit harsh on her earlier, so I wouldn't be surprised if she repaid that if I woke her up right now..." He thought to himself as he walked, considering everything.

The Old Man had done many things for Kano during her time as an apprentice. Accepting that she refused to state that he was above her while still having respect one of them. Many times the girl would return the favors by running off and getting what he needed in the worst of weather often getting sick or lost in the process, she also repaid him by refusing to ever use his workspace as her own. There were lots of little things the clockmaker did and still does, apparently pushing her luck with herself too far being one of them.
