"Powers of the eye each have their own limitations and effects, I was born with it, as they can't suddenly develop. Activation is instinctive and immediate, control over activation and disbandment is given by willpower and experience. Control over the individual powers are learned with time and are different depending on which form you have. The reason you haven't seen my particular form of it is because-" Kano paused in talking aloud, continuing to walk despite this. 'The reason you haven't seen my particular form of it is because all those with it have been killed and I have no family left.'
"Well it's because my exact form of it happens to be quite rare. Your question of line of sight and physical contact applies only to my form of it so for other forms limitations and adaptability is different. As an ability of the eye line of sight is key, physical contact shatters mine due to the fact that in a sense what you see isn't truly me. It can also be affected by the amount of energy a person with it has at any given point and whether or not they are actively controlling it or doing it based solely on instinct or habit." Tuono pawed at Bill when Kano finished to gain his attention, hoping to ride on his shoulder instead of continuing to walk. The shifter had an awful lot of air in her lungs when she spoke and could continue on pretty easily, "That help any?"

While Kano began to speak, Bill quickly remembered to pull out his journal from within his page, muttering something before tapping a page with his finger, where it began to write down what she was saying. It looked like it was lightly searing the words into the thick paper. When she finished he noticed Tuono on his heels, quickly reaching down and scooping him up, helping the cat onto his shoulder. "Yes, very interesting, and very helpful. What are some common forms of these powers? What kind of limitations tend to come with the other forms? And are they passed through families, or isolated cases?" Bill asked, hoping he wasn't pushing his luck.
"Would I be willing to share this much? I mean this is just about her power, so I mean if she asked about my magic or alchemy, I wouldn't mind..."

"There are five forms total, the most common being attention and disappearance. Physical contact can also remove the effect of disappearance but line of site is not quite as vital as it works with a spectrum instead of the extreme instant effect of mine. Attention can be frustrating due to the fact that it only stops working when the person is asleep or in contact with someone with a different form. Also for all forms it is passed through families, on occasion it fails to show up in an individual within the family with that happening more often for the rarer ones." Tuono purred loudly and Kano grinned. Sure she was edging around a bit of thin ice, but if necessary she was light enough to run across it a few times without falling in.
'He takes a lot of interest in things others would avoid speaking of doesn't he. Well I'm fine sharing.'

"So what are the other two forms?" Bill asked quickly as they hiked, trying to keep from getting distracted by checking his journal. He was busy trying to come up with questions that wouldn't get him on bad terms with her. "You've driven a lot of folks away before, and females seem a lot easier. Well maybe if you didn't let slip nearly every thought about their bodies... Stop thinking now before, yeah..." Bill thought, grinning at the cat on his shoulder, making sure Tuono was settled.

"Well the other two would be mine, and then fate. Fate is just terrifying, once a day you either see someone else die or yourself, it works that way until you find a way to break the cycle and then it functions as a way to look ahead into events just an instant before they occur. When you've gotten to that point it functions much more closely to the others, willpower being key in activation and when the eyes are closed it doesn't work at all." Kano turned to the left when the path split, her speed remained the same but her steps were more calculated and her weight settled differently to compensate for the new steepness of the path. Tuono blinked his large blue eyes at Bill and gave another bit of purring, his tail wrapping around his paws nicely.

"Fate... This are interesting abilities, have they been in existence 'forever' or have they only appeared after a certain point in time?" Bill asked her, thinking about the fate power. "It's use is limited, but anything that works in the fabric of time has to be. Can you alter those events before they happen, or there not enough time? Stupid Billy, haven't you learned from the last time you played with fire? Your face got burned." He was thinking, the last thought accompanied by a grinning demon. He grinned himself for a moment, working his way up the steeper slope of the trail, making sure he followed the left path as well. "Great view Billy. Shut up!" He stopped looking towards Kano at this point, waiting for her answer.

Kano's mind raced to remember exactly when they began occurrence. "Well.... They all first showed up around the fall of five very different kingdoms that took each-other down during war. Nothing I've read ever states the name of them just the colors of the flags and which power originated there. Supposedly mine was the one that started the fighting that took them all down." Carefully making her way around a rock the shifter continued thinking but waited for him to ask before delving into specifics. 'Last of blood to a hated empire long gone with only lies left in its wake, isn't that lovely. Not to mention yellow flags. Isn't it strange how cruel people are to each-other?'

"So what during the fighting caused the power to develop? It doesn't just happen because a bunch of people were fighting... And also, is this old news, or are people still fighting this war, and thus people with your powers being involved?" Bill asked, trying really hard to stay focused on their main subject and not let his mind wander too far. Or his eyes. However, Bill did noticed that Kano didn't seem to be wearing down much so far in their hike. "Impressive, I know she travels a lot, but this terrain is rough even for a traveler. I wouldn't want to get in a fight with her, she must have a strong body. And don't you dare go there, you, me, Bill..." He mused in his mind as they climbed the mountain side at great pace. Bill continued to keep checks on Tuono, surprised the cat was able to stay so relaxed on his shoulder as they hiked.

"It's very old history, some are still mad over it though and do fight, but not on army scales. No one is quite certain what the cause was but just a little before the first attack on the kingdom thought to be where attention came from, many people in the country that held fate went missing. This was also the same time the princess of yellow was orphaned and her twin made her servant as well as the discovery of a strange metal in the one that held disappearance. People in the one for attention and stone both suddenly became a lot more angry all the time too." Puzzling over it she slowed down a bit as she came upon part of the path that water had worn on and made sandy. Examining the path she carefully worked through the places that could support her weight. They were almost to the top now, it would level off and there was only one tree that would obstruct the view.

"I see, very interesting... I wonder what happened..." Bill said as he carefully worked through loose sandy area, the peak practically in sight. "We've made excellent time. The view will be amazing." He said with a bright grin as they climbed. He forced himself to clear his mind as best as he could and watch her on the way up, checking to make sure she didn't trip or misstep and fall. Again his thoughts returned to what would happen after they had reached the summit, but he pushed it away again, ready to enjoy the moment of the view. Bill glanced sideways at the Tuono, glaring at him as if to say "I'm doing all the hard work."

In responce to the glare the cat hopped down into the sand and trotted up to Kano's heels, proving that while Bill had been doing the hard work the feline was more than capable of going on with out help. Stepping onto the flatter summit the shifter grinned. "Well, it's not evening quite yet but here we are," Moving so Bill could get up to the level ground she once again began digging through one of her many pockets. The afternoon sun was hot, yes but Tuono was short furred and she could always remove her coat however much she might want to keep it on merely for access to her pockets.
Finding her bottle of water and a small woven dish for her cat the girl moved closer to the tree and into what shade the thick barren branches provided. Placing the dish down she beckoned the cat over and poured some of the water into it before putting it away and spinning on her heel again to face Bill.

Bill was up the top just shortly after, giving Tuono a quick wink as he darted his hand into his bag for his water, taking a brief sip before putting it away. He looked up right as Kano spun around, throwing him off again. "This girl..." He thought for a moment, before he shook himself when he realized he was staring into her eyes again. He glanced about the view, grinning. "Here we are, top of the world, with everything a million miles away. And when the sun sets, and dusks flows through the clouds in the distance, you'll rarely see a more beautiful sight..." Bill said, thinking to himself for a while. He was vaguely aware he had been asking her all the questions, but he tended to do that to people. "Keeps the focus off you, right Willy Billy? Yeah, sure..."

"And what if I was up the tree? Then my viewpoint would be even higher than yours." With a grin and a laugh she grabbed a hold of the faded grey bark that might as well have been stone for all its solidity, and was up into the lower portion of thick barren branches. "You're right it's better than a clock-tower, but what would a clock-tower atop a mountain be like.." Tuono finished drinking and picked up the dish in his mouth. Glaring up the tree he moved up past his owner and onto a branch that hung towards Bill, laying there and looking down.
The feline eyed duo seemed content with the situation as well as their current positioning within the tree. The wind was cold despite the hot sun and the tail of Kano's coat flapped about her, the short sleeves and collar accenting the motion. The cat was less obviously hit by the cool air with the fur on his head and the way his tail moved the only evidence the air wasn't still.

"A clock-tower on a mountain, now that would be a sight to see..." Bill said with a grin as he dropped his staff and jumped at on of the low branches, and actually managing to spin his body all the way around the branch before stopping on top of it, and climbed up the rest of the tree to a branch next to Kano, smiling brightly at her. The wind nipped at his face, blowing his pony tail about and flaring his coat tails. "I like you, and not just for your looks mind you, as good as those are. But something about you..." Bill started saying, before he realized what he had already said, preparing to be slapped out of the tree and down the mountain. "Hey, I held off for two days, that's pretty good. It could have been worse. Oh great, you had to go and say that..."

Kano snorted "I may need to pretend you didn't say some of that. Something is pretty vauge though and there are lots of things that set me aside from the general crowd of traveling repeated motives." Retaliation done with the shifter simply moved up a branch remaining close but not as near as previously.
Shaking her head she chuckled. "You and Seto would have gotten along fairly well."
