They wait for five minutes. Suddenly the water begins to ripple and an enormous shape looms up in the water. Setsuna calls for them to run backwards as it breaks the surface sending water everywhere in a huge wave.

Shikyo ran back like Setsuna said then stared in wonder at the huge creature surfacing.

(I'm imagining something like Haku out of Spirited Away) Once the water was out of the way, Setsuna ran walked forward, looking at the huge gash which ran across its face, down its neck and over its heart.

Setsuna looked at it nervously, "I'm not very experienced in healing magic, I can close the wound and protect it from infection but its too big for me to heal fully, it'll be fragile and could split back open easily."

Shikyo walked up to Setsuna and the dragon. "Well, I'm not good at it either, but I can try to help ampliphy yours with my dark magic. Will that help?"

"I think that should do it" replied Setsuna thankfully, the dragon looked at them both cautiously before laying its long neck down, over the water and onto the ground them. Setsuna ran over and kneeled beside the start of the gash over its eyebrow and cheek.

Slowly but surely the blood stopped trickling and clotted, closing the wound. The clot became thicker and then began to fade away until only a light scar remained.
